Noble Energy, Inc. Awarded the MMS's Mineral Revenues Stewardship Award

On April 27, 2004, Noble Energy, Inc. (Noble Energy) was awarded the Mineral Revenues Stewardship Award by the Minerals Management Service (MMS), a bureau in the U.S. Department of the Interior. The award commends Noble Energy for its exceptional performance in reporting production and paying royalties for Federal and Indian minerals leases to the MMS Minerals Revenue Management (MRM).

During fiscal year 2003, Noble Energy submitted more than 53,000 lines of royalty and production data and paid $60.3 million to the MMR. Noble Energy provided quality performance by submitting electronic reports and payments with a royalty reporting accuracy rate of 99.2 percent and a production reporting accuracy rate of 96.8 percent. Noble Energy was also noted for its cooperation with, and responsiveness to, MRM in resolving reporting, compliance and enforcement issues.

 

Noble Affiliates' Samedan Oil Subsidiary Wins Interior Department's Corporate Citizen Award

On April 5, 2001, Noble Affiliates, Inc. (NYSE: NBL) announced that its wholly owned subsidiary, Samedan Oil Corporation, has received the Corporate Citizen Award from the Department of Interior in the Minerals Management Service's third Annual Industry Awards Program. This award is given to the company selected as the most outstanding in the combined areas of offshore operating performance, regulatory reporting, and fiscal responsibility.

" These prestigious awards recognize exemplary company performance and corporate commitment to the safe offshore oil and gas operations and fiscal responsibility," said Interior Secretary Gale Norton. "The winners of these awards represent the best of the energy industry and set a standard that all companies should strive to achieve."
