Accounting and Finance

The Finance Department consists of professionals in finance, treasury, accounting, tax, information technology, investor relations, business administration and internal audit. Given its broad scope, the Finance Department supports the Company’s objectives in a variety of ways including the accurate recording, reporting and analyzing of activities, communication with our stakeholders, securing the capital resources that the Company needs to grow and prosper, monitoring numerous compliance and policy standards and supporting the organization in a number of other critical areas. 

Engineering

Engineers at Noble Energy work on challenging and rewarding projects in a results-driven environment. As part of multi-discipline teams, our engineers identify, evaluate and execute various projects that drive the company’s growth and success. Functional areas include: Reservoir, Drilling, Facilities, Production, Completion and Major Projects engineering. Entry-level engineers participate in an extensive, on-the-job training program that provides rotating assignments, onsite and offsite schools, mentoring and coaching. 

Production Operations

Noble Energy’s Production Operations staff consists of multi-discipline teams that design, implement, and manage oil and gas projects to achieve our production targets. Opportunities exist in many regions of the U.S., in our deepwater Gulf of Mexico operations and in numerous international locations. Disciplines include: Oil & Gas Field Management Gas Measurement, Workover Operations, Safety Health & Environmental, Pipeline Operations, Drilling & Completions, Line Locators, Pumpers/Operators, Mechanics, Roustabouts, Material Coordination, Field Clerks, Land and Title, and Construction. 

Geosciences

Noble Energy’s Geosciences staff creates long-term value by finding new hydrocarbon accumulations and determining how to profitably extract those resources. The department draws from numerous disciplines including: geoscientists, geophysicists, petrophysicists, reservoir engineers, oil and gas economists, and exploration support. Functional areas include: Exploration, Development & Production and Subsurface Support. Entry-level geoscientists participate in an in-depth on-the-job training program. 

Human Resources

Noble Energy’s Human Resources Department is designed to ensure that our Company’s mission, business objectives and guiding principles are optimized through recruiting, organizational and employee development, and support of a high performing workforce. We are a multi-functional team that acts as a business partner to our domestic and international operating groups as well as our corporate departments. Functional areas include Compensation and Benefits, Organizational Development, Recruiting, and HR Strategy and Compliance.

Land Administration

Noble Energy’s Land Administration Department, which is responsible for the business side of our exploration and production activities, is comprised of two distinct disciplines, Lease and Contracts and Division Orders. The Lease and Contracts Department manages the company’s land assets, applying knowledge of oil and gas land-related contracts, regulations, and judicial proceedings to interpret the rights and responsibilities of various parties. The Division Order Department analyzes documents to determine ownership interests in each operation or property and calculates the appropriate distribution of production or revenue and operational costs.

Legal

Noble Energy’s Legal Department consists of two functional areas that provide support to the company’s business. Our lawyers provide advice and consultation on laws and regulations, manage litigation, and oversee the company’s compliance and ethics programs. Our director of government relations monitors, evaluates and addresses legislative and regulatory developments that have the potential to affect our business. 

Marketing

Operating from our trading room in Houston, marketers help secure the best markets for the Company’s oil and gas production. This includes selling to utilities and industrial power generation customers and exchanging crude oil at major domestic trade locations. The department offers a variety of products and services including gas asset management, fuel management and a full array of risk management services for producers and consumers.
